Neon Jungle's "Louder" - Single Review

Pop megaforce Neon Jungle are taking no breaks when it comes to the upcoming release of their debut album Welcome to the Jungle (out July 28). The four-piece girl group have already taken the pop world by storm with edgy, infectious cuts including "Braveheart" and "Trouble" and continue to impress with the slower, ballad-like "Louder", which made its world premiere last week.

Almost immediately, the new release sets itself apart from the dance heavy nature of the group's three previous efforts. Instead, this time around, the production of the track is toned down just a tad to allow the girls' vocals to truly shine and make an impact. The tone is softer, shows a slightly more vulnerable side to their usual tough exterior and becomes a hit that artists like Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry wish they would have recorded.

"So pull every pin from every grenade and blow it all up in my face, make everything louder," the girls sing on the powerful chorus, allowing the new single to become just as strong and memorable as its predecessors. "Louder", said to be about drowning out all of one's feelings and emotions, is definitely a welcomed surprised from the critically-adored group. It continues to expand their range and devoted audience.

For the equally as beautiful supporting music video, the four girls are shown given face to the camera in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse with massive fans blowing in every single direction. Just like the ballad, the video is dramatic and contains a nice balance of a delicate nature and edgy personalities. It all works. "Louder" proves that Neon Jungle are here to stay.
